16 September 2024 - 24 September 2024
Professor Javier Ortiz Hernandez, lecturer and researcher at CENIDET (Cuernavaca, Mexico), will be visiting ERPI from 16 to 31 September. A specialist in digital transformation, he will be presenting his research into the development of solutions in the fields of education, health, transport and engineering, with a focus on intelligent technologies and advanced data processing methods.
His research includes the analysis of educational data to optimise learning environments, the design of connected solutions for monitoring chronic diseases, and the implementation of intelligent transport systems. Professor Ortiz Hernandez is also exploring the optimisation of machine learning algorithms and agile development, providing solutions to current technological challenges such as housing reconstruction and engineering project management.
He is also co-director of the thesis by Jorge Francisco Ruiz Lopez (Paco) alongside Eric Bonjour (ERPI) and Jean-Pierre Micaelli (IAE Lyon). This thesis, co-financed by a grant from the Mexican government and support from ERPI, aims to assess and improve the maturity of engineering project management practices through the analysis of computer traces. Begun at CENIDET in September 2021 and continued in the SIMPPE doctoral school since September 2022, this thesis is due to be defended in August 2025 in Mexico.
